WINTER SKILLS & NAVIGATION

Let’s get you out into the hills this winter! A winter skills course will aim to give you all the tools you need to be able to get out into the stunning UK winter mountains. The mountains are so majestic when covered in snow. They are really inspiring places to be, but they can also be quite intimidating. This course will enable you to be able to make the right choices to go on winter hill adventures whilst staying safe.  

Duration Between 1-5 days

Ratio 1:1 up to 1:6

Cost From £75 per day per person at 1:6 ratio   

What’s included

• All technical equipment, helmet, crampons, ice axes etc. 

• It is possible to arrange transport if you do not have a vehicle. Please discus this when booking.  

What you need

• Personal clothing including waterproofs. 

• Rucksack, ideally 30/40L

• Gloves, hat and spare layers.

• Map and compass. 

• Winter boots either b2 or b3. 

• Lunch, drink and snacks each day.
